Stella

I love Stella McCartney. Partly because her father is the legendary Paul McCartney and partly because her clothes are so amazingly wonderful and made from 100% vegan/organic materials. She has this ability to keep a feminine image while adding an edgy-ness rocker feel with texture and styling. I love everything from her Fall 2009 preview. Below are a few favorites. They are what I hope my Fall wardrobe will be.

Kitchen Blues

I hate the color of my kitchen. I mean HATE. Its this weird yellow, brown, burnt orange color...and not just the walls. The genius who painted it decided to continue their brush stroke all the way up to the ceiling and beyond. Its beyond words awful. With that, Ive decided to go with a crisp grey-ish. Since my tile is yellow, I cant really do many other colors besides neutrals. Now its off to picking a color and convincing David that hes helping.

This One's (not) On Me

I have decided to give up drinking as it seems to be doing me more harm than good. Not the fall-down-drunk kind of harm, but the 6-hour-headache-the-next-day harm. And what better way to stay on the wagon then to fall in love with the best drinking accessories money can buy you and one delightful homemade recipe for Cardamon Rose Cocktail. Oh the irony!

Goodbye Grass

With the water shortage in LA, the people who own my house have decided to take out the grass (as its become too costly to maintain) and replace it with large flagstone. I have to admit that I am very skeptical of the results. Here's to hoping it comes out like this.

For Eva Eva

Its been so long since I have posted anything. I dont have many (read any) followers but I still feel its a disservice to myself to not upkeep this blog. The obvious to update: RIP Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett. The not so obvious, my summer obsessions below.

Madly Addicted

Season 2 of Mad Men isn't suppose to be released until July, but I secretly snagged an advanced copy. I promised the BF that I wouldn't watch it without him but since he works longer hours than I do, I have resorted to blogging and twittering to keep my hands busy! Ahhh cant wait for tonight!

It's the only show I have seen since the movie Dazed and Confused that gives the redhead the love we deserve.

It Must be love...

I was a huge fan of Project Runway, but there is something to be said to actually purchasing the clothes the designers make. I guess the article feels cheapened by the 'reality tv' past that accompanies it. BUT I can't help but love every piece winner Leanne has just produced. I especially love the mini wedding dress...(Shhhh dont tell my boyfriend)

Little Monsters vs Monsters, Inc

I was just watching Little Monsters--the amazing 80's movie with a young fred savage--and realized that Monsters, Inc basically ripped off all their ideas from this movie and even the way the main monster looks. Can anyone have an original idea anymore?

Spring into Spring

I guess no one told mother nature that today was the first day of Spring. It's freezing in LA but I couldn't resist pretending it was Spring. Flowers and Salted Carmel homemade ice cream by Carmela Ice Cream (www.carmelaicecream.com)

The Edison

Last night was my first time seeing the Wednesday carnival meets burlesque meets amazing show at the Edison downtown.

I absolutely loved it and can't wait to take friends! Thanks to Marie for the best table in the house!

Flashback

Khaki pants and a shrunken denim jacket...I'm sorry but looking back on your 3rd grade school portrait shouldnt be your source of inspiration. Needless to say, Band of Outsiders executes this look as clever as a third grader sneaks a kiss behind the classroom.

La Garconne

new arrivals! i've never really considered myself a jewelry type of girl but with the new treats from APC, Kria and Made Her Think I'll gladly be labeled as such.
